Protest outside Pakistani Counselate in Bradford on 09 November

KASHMIRIES WILL PROTEST OUTSIDE PAKISTANI COUNSELATE IN BRADFORD ON 09 NOVEMBER
2009, IF JKNAP & JKNSF WORKERS ARE NOT RELEASED

Jammu Kashmir National Independence Alliance, which is a coalition of seven
Kashmiri nationalist parties in the UK, held an emergency meeting in Bradford to
discuss the arrest of JKNAP and JKNSF leaders and workers in POK (Pakistani
Occupied Kashmir) on 24 October 2009.

The meeting was chaired by Kashmir Liberation Organisation's president Mr Najeeb
Afsar whereas Mr Ghulam Hussain president of Kashmir Freedom Movement
facilitated the meeting.

The meeting discussed the current situation in POK in detail and adopted
following resolutions:

1. Strongly condemn the arrest of JKNAP and JKNSF leaders and workers in
Muzaffarabad on 24 October 2009. It was felt that the arrest of JKNAP and JKNSF
leaders and workers was directed by Pakistan Army and it was aggression against
the State of Jammu Kashmir. The civil administration only acted upon Pakistan
Army's directions which desecrated sovereignty of the State which has its own
President, Prime Minister, Flag and Legislative Assembly;

2. Demand the immediate release of all arrested leaders and workers of JKNAP and
JKNSF and to withdraw all bogus FIRs against them;

3. Agree that if the arrested leaders and workers are not released, JKNIA will
hold a demonstration outside Pakistani counselate in Bradford on 09 November
2009 and similar demonstrations will be held in Manchester, Birmingham and
London outside Pakistani Missions;

4. Note that the annexation of Gilgit-Baltistan carried out in name of
Gilgit-Baltistan Package is designed to divide Kashmir and to accede to Pakistan
the areas under Pakistani occupation. This annexation is against the wishes of
the people of Gilgit-Baltistan and they never had chance to express their
opinion on this matter;

5. Express that GB annexation is designed to burry the Kashmir issue and
Kashmiries will never accept this hostile act by Pakistan. This act by Pakistan
will only result in more suffering of innocent people living in that part of
Kashmir;

6. Urge the British government, European Union and governments of other peace
loving and democratic countries to force Pakistan to immediately halt all of its
hostile acts in Pakistani Occupied Kashmir;

JKNIA decided that full support will be extended to JKNAP UK to put full
pressure on the government of Pakistan to release the arrested leaders and
workers of JKNAP and JKNSF. It is announced that all component parties of the
Alliance will fully cooperate with JKNAP UK and will take active part in all
programmes to achieve the objectives.
