JK NAP rejects Pakistani Governance order 2009 for Gilgit Baltistan.
Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party ( JK NAP) out rightly rejects this so called Governance order 2009 for Gilgit Baltistan. It is nothing but a little joke to the people of this region of state of jammu Kashmir, after 63 years of deprivation of basic human rights Pakistani state has decided to changed the name of local administration and creation of authority of chief minister and Governor indicates that this region would be a province of the country. It is totally unconstitutional decision, Pakistani state has absolutely no authority over the region to decide the fate of the 2 million people of this disputed region of Jammu Kashmir. It is violation of UN resolution which has only mandated temporary administrative authority over this region as long as Kashmir dispute is is not resolved between India and Pakistan. It is an attempt to strengthen Pakistani occupation over this region and it is not acceptable to any one in the region nor any patriotic Kashmir can accept it. This expansionist policy of Pakistani state must be resisted and her deceiving and deception policy has to be exposed. This region has not been part of Pakistani state nor people of this region have ever decided to join Pakistan, how can it be possible for Pakistani state to make decision of this region which does not belong to its territory at all. Pakistani cabinet has granted this region all those administrative positions which belong to a province but it does not make any sense to any one that when this territory is Pakistani territory how Pakistani state can impose this type decisions over the region. It is not in the jurisdiction of Pakistani constitution and Pakistani rulers are behaving like colonial power in the region and imposing her own version of state institutions against the popular will of the people of this unfortunate region of Kashmir. It condemnable and shameful act of an occupier and JK NAP has started protest against this illegal, unlawful, unconstitutional decision yesterday in Rawalakot , Bagh and Muzafrabad. JK NAP also announced a call for protest on this coming Tuesday all over POK cities and towns.
JK NAP president Liaqat Hayyat, General secretary Abdul Sattar Khan, VP Mubarak Awan, said that we do not accept this decision because it is an imposition against the will of people, only people of this region have an authority to decide the fate of this region. JK NAP leaders said that our proposal was that regional assembly should have been created long time ago but after waiting 6 long decades people of this region have not got any thing yet, it is befooling our people in the name of new administration, we will oppose it with tooth and nail. Our demand is that this region must be given POK type of set up with full authority or given representation in POK assembly after dissolving Kashmir Council, establishing Kashmir senate instead of this so called Council, eliminating ministry of Kashmir affairs type colonial institutions which having stronger grip over the region. JK NAP still suggests that Kashmir senate must be created which can have equal representation of Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir areas and national assembly members can be elected through direct election from both region of Kashmir but Pakistani state rulers have no intentions to give any right to the both regions under its occupation. Meanwhile, International Council JK NAP Coordinator Javed Inayat, Spokesman Nadeem Aslam, Sajjad Raja, Shahid Hashmi, Azad Raja, Ikram Mir, Hassan Mehmood, Shahid Azam, Shahid Azam junior, Nyyar Khan, Sabir Malik, Zahid Baluch, Saleem Awan, Dr. Jameel have also rejected this decision out rightly and considers it a new tactics of consolidating its occupation. IC JK NAP leaders said that Pakistani state has lost her moral position and it can not be trusted any more, as rulers of the country do not miss any opportunity to deceive people of Kashmir. JK NAP will continue its struggle and resists occupation over Kashmir.

JK NAP successful campaign won over the release of its leadership.
First of all I would like congratulate members of International council JK NAP, especially, its spokesman Nadeem Aslam advocate, Whid Kashir from kashmiri workers Association Briton, Comrades from Pakistan ComradeTamur CMKP+ NSF+ PDF, Asim Ali Shah, Umer Daraz Khan, Mushtaq Chuadry all of them who supported us in this difficult time, thanks to those progressive left voices from Kashmir also who stand with us. The credits go to JK NAP leadership back home especially JK NAP secretary General Abdul Sattar Khan advocate who made this to happen. JK NAP and JK NSF launched a vigorous campaign against the illegal detention of JK NAP president Liaqat Hayyat along with 7 members of JK NAP and JK NSF. JK NAP leaders have launched second phase two weeks mass agitation which forced the local administration to bow down and give up the stand against JK NAP leadership, after 40 days putting them behind the bar, Govt has no choice but to release them unconditionally and it was a great victory of our comrades over the corrupt ruling class. It was a defeat to Govt elites which they might not desire it again and they have tested the street power of JK NAP and JK NSF. It must be a good lesson to state secret agencies which have been more interesting to intimidate, harass, humiliate JK NAP members and activists through out this campaign without any provocation. It is vision of our comrades who kept this mass agitations completely peaceful, in spite of many provocation acts by local police, even though, some of our comrades have been picked up by the police during the demonstrations, it was intelligence agencies planning to incite violence against JK NAP and JK NSF comrades but we salute our comrades who made them failed their every attempt and kept comrades revolutionary Sprite high.
It is very unfortunate that local administration has shown during this process that it has no power at all. It is very well known that JK NAP leadership was pressurized by army officers in jail and civil administration was asked to hand over JK NAP and JK NSF leaders to ISI and other investigative agencies. It has proved that POK area has no Govt at all nor there is any kind of rule of law in the region. It was clearly told by local Govt officials that they have no interest to keep them behind the bar with out any reason but it is the order of army officers, not to release JK NAP leaders. After 40 days when Govt could not produced any thing against JK NAP leaders then Judge orders their release. It is a region of Kashmir which has been ruled by three bureaucrats from Pakistan Chief secretary, IG police and Accountant General, all of them must be Pakistani national not local citizen of the region and military intelligence agencies have full authority to do whatever they want to do in this region. Local state institutions have been frustrated and made dis-functional by military officers and secret agencies involvement has gone to its last limits in terms of running the state affairs. Pakistani military intelligence agencies used to involve in political affairs in POK but now they have been dictating the local administrative affairs also and mingling with every thing including local election manipulation which has made local people so angry at Pakistani state which has been responsible unleashing its secret state agencies but these agencies are running their own parallel Govt even in Pakistan, no one is interesting to leash them.

JK NAP continues its protest
JK NAP continues its protest nationally and internationally.
Various reports confirm that since 19th July 2009 a black day observed in Rawlakot POK,behind the arrests of the president JKNAP Laquat Hayyat and other leadership of JKNSF were penalised by the POK police. Pakistani ISI is behind all these cases registered against the pro-people leadership of JKNAP and JKNSF.The cases were registered under the so called emergency act which is describes stop to expose the Pakistan military role in POK.
Some un unidentified military officials threaten to the president of JKNSF Raja Saba to stop peaceful protests and after few days police lodged more cases against the active leadership of JKNSF +JKNAP and police arrested more activists from POK.
IC JKNAP believes that the life of Raja Saba is under threat from the ISI and other agencies of Pakistani military those are completely operating the right wing elements (LT,HM,HJ,MJC) believe in Jihad-e-Kashmir from POK.They are in a safe heavens in POK and POGB.
We request to all human rights organisations to closely monitor situation in POK crackdown against those groups working for an Secular,Independent ,United Kashmir.

Pakistani state secret agencies have been in process to set up new Jihadi camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir(POK) , especially in Muzaffrabad area. JK NAP and JK NSF has been opposing this Jihadi activities and JK NSF had set up a camp against Jihad camps in Muzaffrabad two weeks ago and JK NAP is in its stiff opposition to bring Jihadis from Swat and else where in the region. JK NAP leadership has become a victim of this opposition. Since Swat operation has begun against Taliban Jihadis most of Jihadis including Taliban have been relocated in Azad Kashmir area, most of them have been brought in near Muzaffrabad city. Pakistani intelligence agencies are helping Jihadi groups resettling in POK and would like to use them against left groups in this region. India and Pakistan would love silence those groups which are opposing their version of Kashmir solution. It very unfortunate that Pakistani ISO is still not ready to give up poxy politics in Kashmir region. It is highly alarming situation in POK areas that why these defeated Jihadis have brought in this region only for two reasons , first, if India is not ready to accept Pakistani version of Kashmir solution Pakistani state would use Jihadis from this area to pressurize Indian Govt again but it would be counter productive again, because proxy groups in Kashmir valley has been badly defeated by Indian army and they have very reactionary agenda in Kashmir politics and they are doom to fail. Pakistani state must stop this state sponsored Jihadi agenda. Second, these Jihadis would be an instrumental to suppress local progressive left groups like JK NAP, if Pakistani secret agencies need them. India and Pakistan have been completely failed to come up with durable solution to Kashmir dispute and now after 62 years local left groups have got more influence over this issue and exposed their hypocrisy. It is JK NAP which has gained more ground against right wing Jihad politics in Kashmir. Indian and Pakistani states have silence agreement that any pro peoples group,s activities must be suppressed both side of LOC.. JK NAP has exposed local pro Pakistan Kashmiri leadership, its collaboration with Pakistani state and implementing anti people policies in this region. Instead of paying attention to Jihadi issue in Azad Kashmir local Govt has taken very dangerous turn against JK NAP leadership, it would be suicidal attempt for local Govt suppressing JKNAP dissent. Yesterday JK NAP and JK NSF held demonstrations all over POCK but there are some reports police has tried to stop agitations in some cities. It is highly condemnable acts of local administration, secret agencies are trying to turn peaceful demos violent to create more space to severe crackdown on JK NAP activists.

Kashmir: Activists Arrested
Hundreds of activists illegally arrested at the demand of secular and democratic united Kashmir
In the Pakistani part of Kashmir several political activists and students have been arrested for observing the demands for an independent Kashmir, free from India and Pakistan. Mr. Sardar Liaquat Hayat, the Central President of the Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party, and several activists of the Jamu and Kashmir National Awami Party (JKNAP) and Jammu Kashmir National Students Federation (JKNSF), were arrested without any judicial warrants or charges. At the time of arrest on July 19, 2009, they were protesting against the call by the prime minister of Kashmir to annex Kashmir with Pakistan. Police conducted raids in Rawalakote city and arrested Liaquat Hayat, Wajid Ayyub and Shaihid Sharaf without arrest warrants from their homes. The same day the ruling party of Pakistani Kashmir organized a public rally to commend the so-called Kashmir´s accession to Pakistan at Rawalakote city.
July 19 is observed in Pakistan as the annexation of Kashmir to Pakistan since 1948, during the day governments of Pakistan and Kashmir (Pakistani) demanding the whole of Kashmir (including Indian territory) from the UN to be annexed to Pakistan as the unfinished agenda of creation of Pakistan.
On the same day in another incident, law enforcement personnel abducted and humiliated four Kashmiri students belonging to the JKNSF in Rawalpindi, Punjab province-Pakistan, for demanding the liberation of Kashmir from both Pakistan and India. It is alleged by the nationalist groups that leaders of the JKNAP and the JKNSF have been harassed, tortured and detained in the past as well for demanding basic human rights in the parts of Kashmir under Pakistani occupation. The JKNAP and JKNSF were opposing the annexation of Kashmir to Pakistan and demanding, the reunification of all the divided parts of Jammu Kashmir and its complete independence from India and Pakistan, based on secularism, democracy, equality, rule of law and social justice.
The Asian Human Rights Commission urges the government of Pakistan, who runs the affairs of their part of Kashmir through the federal ministry of Kashmir affairs, to release the activists of JKNAP and JKNSF and provide the right of freedom of expression and freedom of association to their part of Kashmir. The people of Kashmir have a legitimate right to protest peacefully. Denying the people this right is a serious violation of their basic human rights and contravenes the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR 1948) and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR 1966) as Pakistan is a signatory to both the covenants as a member nation state.

Hundreds of activists illegally arrested at the demand of secular and democratic united Kashmir
In the Pakistani part of Kashmir several political activists and students have been arrested for observing the demands for an independent Kashmir, free from India and Pakistan. Mr. Sardar Liaquat Hayat, the Central President of the Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party, and several activists of the Jamu and Kashmir National Awami Party (JKNAP) and Jammu Kashmir National Students Federation (JKNSF), were arrested without any judicial warrants or charges. At the time of arrest on July 19, 2009, they were protesting against the call by the prime minister of Kashmir to annex Kashmir with Pakistan. Police conducted raids in Rawalakote city and arrested Liaquat Hayat, Wajid Ayyub and Shaihid Sharaf without arrest warrants from their homes. The same day the ruling party of Pakistani Kashmir organized a public rally to commend the so-called Kashmir´s accession to Pakistan at Rawalakote city.
July 19 is observed in Pakistan as the annexation of Kashmir to Pakistan since 1948, during the day governments of Pakistan and Kashmir (Pakistani) demanding the whole of Kashmir (including Indian territory) from the UN to be annexed to Pakistan as the unfinished agenda of creation of Pakistan.
On the same day in another incident, law enforcement personnel abducted and humiliated four Kashmiri students belonging to the JKNSF in Rawalpindi, Punjab province-Pakistan, for demanding the liberation of Kashmir from both Pakistan and India. It is alleged by the nationalist groups that leaders of the JKNAP and the JKNSF have been harassed, tortured and detained in the past as well for demanding basic human rights in the parts of Kashmir under Pakistani occupation. The JKNAP and JKNSF were opposing the annexation of Kashmir to Pakistan and demanding, the reunification of all the divided parts of Jammu Kashmir and its complete independence from India and Pakistan, based on secularism, democracy, equality, rule of law and social justice.

JK NAP continues its protest nationally and internationally.
Jammu Kashmir national Awami party ( JK NAP) continues its protest all over POK cities and towns since the arrest of JK NAP president Liaqat hayat along with 7 members of JK NAP and JK NSF. Large processions have been taken out in the city of Rawalakot and Bagh last week and tomorrow there will be demonstrations again in Bagh and rawalakot cities. Two more JK NSF members have been arrested in Rawalakot, name S.M. Sarwar and M. Jawad Ahmed. Meanwhile, an FIR has been lodged against JK NSF president Raja Saba in Muzafrabad city. It is a state terrorism against JK NAP and JK NSF activists in Pakistani Occupied Kashmir. Local administration have been forced by Pakistani state secret agencies to make arrest, harass and humiliate JK NAP members, forcing them to give up pro peoples struggle in POK area, stop them from exposing the corruption of Pakistani lent officers, local bureaucrats and local ruling elites. JK NAP leaders have vowed that they will continue their peaceful protests until their leaders are released from Rawalakot central jail. Internationally IC JKNAP members and leaders have been organizing demos, this week another protest rally was held in Brussels in front of European commission and it will continue in UK ,USA and other countries. IC JKNAP leaders Hassan Mehmood, Shahid Azam, Shahid Azam Junior, demanded that JK NAP , JK NSF leaders and activists must be released immediately. They also appealed to the European members of parliament, human rights activists and freedom loving people to put pressure on Govt of Pakistan to stop harassing JK NAP ,JK NSF activists in POK by ISI and other state secret agencies. International Council JK NAP leaders have strongly condemned the arrest two more activists of youth group, JK NSF and warned that it is highest level of intimidation by state institutions and JK NAP activists are remained peaceful, it is sign of our comrades revolutionary spirit and it will continue, no power on earth can break our revolutionary spirit, let alone this puppet Govt and Pak secret Agencies.

PROTEST IN FRONT OF EU COMMISSION BRUSSELS (BELGIUM)
A protest has been organised by the International Council JKNAP +JKNAP+JKNSF and other like minded groups over the arrests of president JKNAP Laquat Hayyat and other leaders of JKNSF on19th July 2009 Rawlakot POK. The protest is in front of EU commission Belgium (Brussels) at 18August 20009 from 12.00hrs to 14.00hrs time.
This protest is organised by the Hassan Mahmood ,Shaid Azam ICJKNAP and other leaders of JKNAP +JKNSF with other Kashmiri groups and supporters of fundamental human rights organisations and other like minded group in Belgium EU.
They will presenting a resolution of immediate,unconditional release of the president of JKNAP and other detained leaders of the JKNSF.The arrests of the leadership of the JKNAP and JKNSF took place on 19th July 2009 in Rawalakot Pakistani Occupied Kashmir (POK) for the demand of an independent secular and united Kashmir.
The Urgent Appeal from the IC JKNAP for the release of the leadership of JKNAP,JKNSF were succeeded and The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) ,a press release from United Nations (UN),an appeal to the prime minister of Pakistan S.Yousaf Raza Gilani from the Jammu Kashmir council for human rights (JKCHR ) London and UK based human rights organisation Liberty forward our appeal to the Amnesty International for the immediate unconditional release of detained political persons in Rwalakot POK.
Since the 19th July 2009 many strong peaceful protests were observed in POK ,Karachi,Rawalpindi Pakistan,Belgium, UK ,USA,Greece ,Australia,Sweden and France.

According to the reports from Bradford UK.During an open public hearing meeting related to the issues in Azad Kashmir and Kashmiri diaspora in UK.Chief secretary faced a strong protest over the arrests of JKNAP president Liquat Hayyat and other leaders of JKNSF.The questions raised by the President JKNL and Sec.Gen of Jammu Kashmir National Independence Alliance UK (JKNIA UK).
They clear to the chief secretary that we are treating you in Kashmiri Diaspora UK as a lent officer who is representing Govt.of Pakistan not a representative of Azad Kashmir. They clear to the demand of the unconditional release of the peaceful political leaders those believing an Independent Kashmir are penalising with discriminatory laws against them because they are opposing the agenda of Taliban and proxy groups in POK which were sponsored by ISI and other Pakistani military agencies.
We were raised our voice against the Pakistani Occupation every where in the world with peaceful means and demonstrations.
The protesters also raised the voice against the orders of Got.of Pakistan over the name of JKNLF sec.gen Arif Shaid in exit control list (ECL).

JK NAP held its peaceful rallies all over POK cities.
Jammu Kashmir National Awami party ( JK NAP) began its mass agitation on August 6th, 2009. The rallies were held in all over POK cities and towns on Thursday August 6Th, major protest rally was held in Rawalakot city, where local POK Govt illegally arrested seven JK NAP and JK NSF leaders including central president of JK NAP Sardar Liaqat Hayyat on July 19Th, 2009 without any prior arrest warrants. JK NAP, JK NSF leaders have been held indefinitely since 19Th July, only their sin was holding anti state accession to Pakistan rallies. The day local POK Govt also had official rally in Rawalakot city where most of the POK Govt and ruling party Muslim conference elites had gatherings to show loyalties to their masters in Islamabad. JK NAP parallel rallies did provoke them and their ISI secret bosses and secret orders had issued by state secret agencies to local administration to arrest JK NAP leaders and activists. Protest rally in Rawalakot last Thursday demanded that JK NAP leaders must be released immediately, therefore, they had done nothing wrong nor they had violated any state law holding rallies in POK cities. A large procession in Rawalakot was led by former JK NAP president Sardar Javed Shariff advocate, Sardar Shamshad Khan advocate secretary General Jammu Kashmir Peoples National party ( JK PNP), Sardar Sabir Khan advocate JKLF ( R ), Sardar Qadir Khan, Sadar Aabdul Hamid Khan advocate, students leaders from progressive organizations of degree college Rawalakot city also participated in the protest rally. Sardar Javed Shariff advocate while addressing rally said that JK NAP prisoners must release immediately, because they have been booked by local Govt only to harass them, it has been the unstated policy of local Govt to please Islamabad suppressing local pro peoples leaders and activists. Sardar Shamshad Khan advocate said that this Govt has been violating human rights while putting political activists in jail without any reason, this state of affairs are not acceptable to any one here in this area of Pakistani occupied Kashmir which is no doubt Pakistani colony in any political sense. Mostly speakers demanded JK NAP, JK NSF leaders and activists immediately.
Rallies were also held in other cities, Muzafrabad, Bagh, Mirpur,Kotli, processions, protest marches, demonstrations were taken out in these cities. Rallies were addressed by JK NAP, JK NSF leaders and activists along with other leaders of JK PNP, JK NLF,JKLF, students leaders, trade unionists, intellectuals and progressive organizations all over POK. Protest leaders reiterated that these Mass rallies will continue as log as JK NAP and JK NSF leaders are in jail. JK NAP and JK NSF always have been believed in peaceful struggle, even we had lost so many activists during this peaceful struggle, Govt with the help of secret agencies have murdered JK NSF activists including one of JK NSF central secretary Generals comrade Faheem Akram but we kept our struggle peaceful and non violent, Govt never had spared JK NAP and JK NSF activists always used state power against our peaceful struggle. Jammu Kashmir National Awami party ( JK NAP) and JK NSF announced mass agitations against illegal arrest of JK NAP central president and its activists along with JK NSF students leaders in POK city Rawalakot. Mass agitation wil begin tomorrow August 6Th, 2009, it has announced by JK NAP central secretary General Abdul Sattar Khan advocate in a press conference in Bagh city. JK NAP and JK NSF leaders have announced that tomorrow August 6Th, will be second phase of this agitation and it will continue as long JK NAP , JK NSF leaders are not released unconditionally from detention center in POK city Rawalakot. It has been announced that JK NAP, JK NSF caravans will begin long march towards Rawalakot city after holding demonstrations in all district headquarters. JK NAP secretary general demanded that JK NAP and JK NSF leaders and activists must release immediately, otherwise mass agitations will continue. He said that our protests have been peaceful and we keep all demos peaceful and warn local administration that do not intimidate with our workers on behalf of Pakistani secret state agencies because it will be your failure not secret agencies, if there will be law and order situation created. JK NAP leaders also welcome all pro- independence parties, most of them have announced that they will also participate in this mass agitation with JK NAP and extended full support to our party. JK NAP leaders told the press that there was no need to keep our leaders and activists in Jail that much longer time with out any violation of state law, it is ISI and Military people who are pressuring local puppet Govt to suppress JK NAP activities because of party,s bold stand against Pakistani state and local administration which has no jurisdiction over the area and only has submissive role to state secret agencies. These secret agencies rule has destroyed fabric of our society and stopped natural growth of Kashmiri society and JK NAP has challenged this unacceptable state of affairs and that is the sin, its leadership has committed and thrown in to Jail.

International Council JKNAP condemned harassing its students leaders in Pak held Kashmir
International Council JKNAP condemned harassing its students leaders.
Rawalakot,(Pak held Kashmir),July 26 (Scoop News) -International Council Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party(JKNAP) condemned the harassment to its students leaders in Pak held Kashmir.
In a statement issued to press, International Council Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party alleged that the leaders of JK NSF from Rawalpindi branch Fawad,Adnan and Aziz were picked up by Pakistani state secret agencies while attending an organizational meeting in the city. They picked up by night time and released morning time, after severely beaten, humiliating them and abusing Kashmiri nation.
Statement said that ISI agents have been practicing this harassment policy against JK NSF and JK NAP since long time. JK NSF lost so many of its activists including one of its top ranking student leader and General secretary Sardar Faheem Akram as he was murdered by local Govt agents with the help of ISI.
It is unfortunate that ISI has not changed its brutal policy against JK NAP and JK NSF activists and leaders, statement said.
According to statement that International Council JK NAP members and its office bearers have taken it very serious and are really concern about the lives of our Students and JK NAP activists living and studying in Pakistani cities, where most of these events have been occurring.
Statement condemns these fascist tactics against our students activists and think that ISI can not intimidate JK NAP and JK NSF nor can break their will and commitment to the cause of united Independent secular Kashmir. IC JK NAP members warn Pakistani state agencies do not mess with us, it will cost you more than your imaginations. State suppression is continued against JK NAP,JK NSF.
JK NAP president Liaqat Hayyat, JK NAP and JK NSF leaders, activists remain in Rawalakot central jail since 19 july 2009 and have not been released so far, even there have been demonstrations all over POK cities and towns for their illegal detention. It is kind of savagery against JK NAP leadership shown by Pakistani state secret agencies and local POK administration. It has to be remembered that only JK NAP, JK NSF has been victim of this special treatment due to party,s firm stand against illegal occupation, mistreatment of local population, exploitation, corruption, backwardness, deceiving and deception policy of Pakistani state on Kashmir dispute. JK NAP leaders have been incarcerated only for rejecting ruling party Muslim conference resolution of state accession to Pakistan. Pakistan/Kashmir: Hundreds Of Activists Illegally Arrested At The Demand Of Secular And Democratic United Kashmir
In the Pakistani part of Kashmir several political activists and students have been arrested for observing the demands for an independent Kashmir, free from India and Pakistan. Mr. Sardar Liaquat Hayat, the Central President of the Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party, and several activists of the Jamu and Kashmir National Awami Party (JKNAP) and Jammu Kashmir National Students Federation (JKNSF), were arrested without any judicial warrants or charges. At the time of arrest on July 19, 2009, they were protesting against the call by the prime minister of Kashmir to annex Kashmir with Pakistan. Police conducted raids in Rawalakote city and arrested Liaquat Hayat, Wajid Ayyub and Shaihid Sharaf without arrest warrants from their homes. The same day the ruling party of Pakistani Kashmir organized a public rally to commend the so-called Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan at Rawalakote city.
July 19 is observed in Pakistan as the annexation of Kashmir to Pakistan since 1948, during the day governments of Pakistan and Kashmir (Pakistani) demanding the whole of Kashmir (including Indian territory) from the UN to be annexed to Pakistan as the unfinished agenda of creation of Pakistan.
On the same day in another incident, law enforcement personnel abducted and humiliated four Kashmiri students belonging to the JKNSF in Rawalpindi, Punjab province-Pakistan, for demanding the liberation of Kashmir from both Pakistan and India. It is alleged by the nationalist groups that leaders of the JKNAP and the JKNSF have been harassed, tortured and detained in the past as well for demanding basic human rights in the parts of Kashmir under Pakistani occupation. The JKNAP and JKNSF were opposing the annexation of Kashmir to Pakistan and demanding, the reunification of all the divided parts of Jammu Kashmir and its complete independence from India and Pakistan, based on secularism, democracy, equality, rule of law and social justice.
The Asian Human Rights Commission urges the government of Pakistan, who runs the affairs of their part of Kashmir through the federal ministry of Kashmir affairs, to release the activists of JKNAP and JKNSF and provide the right of freedom of expression and freedom of association to their part of Kashmir. The people of Kashmir have a legitimate right to protest peacefully. Denying the people this right is a serious violation of their basic human rights and contravenes the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR 1948) and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR 1966) as Pakistan is a signatory to both the covenants as a member nation state.
