JK NAP, JK NSF battle with state forces in POK capital city.
Muzaffrabad city turned out be battle field on Sunday oct 24, 2009, when JK NAP and JK NSF activists started march towards legislative Assembly building to siege it for a day long sit in. Tens of workers has been arrested and hundred of the have been injured, some them are seriously wounded including former secretary general of JK NAP Ajaz Nazir Advocate, some of the comrades have broken arms and heads during baton charges by police. It was state brutality once again shown to our comrades and rein of terror unleashed by local administration with the dictation of ISI and army officers which have been so hostile towards JK NAP activities and trying to suppress this revolutionary movement because of huge local youth,s involvement in it. International Council JK NAP condemns this state brutalities against our peaceful comrades, who are simply raising their voices against re division of Kashmir state which is not acceptable to any Kashmiri living any where in the world. Police actions, imprisonments area not acceptable to us and it will turn ugly if local administration would not follow the rules of the game, if not behave like normal lawinforcers, if not separated their actions from army involvement it would be hostile land to every one who wants to keep occupiers happy, even though, it is not the duty of local police nor it is the duty of local Govt, they must correct their actions other wise they will be responsible for law and order situation and army is trying create Baluchistan type of situation which they might not afford it here.
Local administration first let JK NAP huge rally to go ahead but after watching the huge gathering they changed their mind and told JK NAP , JK NSF leadership you got to change the route of this procession and go through vehicles but they refused to do that, AC city again agreed upon and let them go, on the way suddenly he ordered the police stop the JK NAP procession. When police without warning started teargassing the protesters JK NSF and JK NAP youth tuned violent and started fighting back. It was completely peaceful march and led by JK NAP central president Sardar Liaqat Hayyat, secretary general Abdul Sattar Advocate, JK NSF central president Raja Sabah and most of the party leaders were present there, it was impossible to have any kind of violence among JK NAP and JK NSF activists. It is very unfortunate that when army vehicle interfered with procession, they made police to attack the youth. Why this army vehicle carrying a major ranking officer were monitoring the procession, is it the army,s job or they intentionally tried to intimidate with JK NAP ,JK NSF procession and why they picked up the fight with JK NAP youth without any provocation. It is very unfortunate that army intelligence officers, state secret agencies are trying to pick street fights with political activists in this unfortunate area of Kashmir where people have no rights at all. JK NAP has no intentions to have create any violence in the area which has been ruled by Pakistani state secret agencies and its military officers. Even military involvement in the state affairs have been objected by local pro Pakistan politicians including newly elected PM of the region Raja Farooq Haider.
Now it is time for local Govt to act accordingly and do not play a role of simple spectator as it has been since 6 decades. We want them to let every body know that local voices can not be suppressed any more and they need to be heard. It has to be understood by local politicians who have been behaving like puppets of lower ranking army officers stationed in POK area and army officers have total grip over the local political and administrative affairs, it is shameful to these so called puppet politicians, they must respect their voters, instead of representing their aspirations, these elected politicians have been acting on behalf of lower ranking army officers and blackmailed by ISI and other state secret agencies. JK NAP and JK NSF would not accept this state of affairs no matter what and we refused to accept the rule of few army thugs who are behaving their own. JK NAP condemns army activities in POK areas which have been always above the law and it must stop now. We do demand the following:
1- Immediately release of JK NAP and JK NSF workers, activists and leaders.
2- Local state administration immediately investigates its civilian employees having secret links with military officers and why they obey their orders, must be exposed as soon as possible.
3- our wounded workers must be treated in local hospitals as we know that previously army had refused to provide them even ambulances to JK NAP dead comrades during long march to Gitgit.
4- AJK Prime minister must take this issue in his hand to inquire why this incident occurred few blocks away from his presence, who ordered the police attack on JK NAP workers and leaders.
5- We must know that why JK NAP was not allowed not take out peaceful procession and peaceful siege of Assembly.
6- We demand freedom of speech, freedom of Assembly, freedom of protest, freedom of movement.
7- We demand withdrawal of Gilgit Baltistan package immediately.
8- Bogus FIRS must be immediately withdrawn against JK NAP and JK NSF leaders and PM must look in to this matter, when he allowed JK NAP procession to go through the route agreed upon once, who ordered to create this unfortunate but brutal conditions for procession.
9- We demand immediate inquiry of police brutality against JK NAP+JK NSF workers.

PAKISTAN ARMY`S CRACKDOWN ON PEACEFUL SIEGE OF POK ASSEMBLY 0N 24 OCTOBER 2009. JKNAP JKNSF
After a successful peaceful overnight rally of JKNAP JKNSFon 23rd October in Mazafarabad and huge public turnout on 24th October for the siege of puppet POK assembly and against the defacto annexation of Pakistan Occupied Gilgit Baltistan (POGB).
Various reports confirm that the Pakistan army`s officials were behind the crackdown on hundreds of peaceful demonstrator's of JKNAP and JKNSF, near old Secretariat Mazafabad POK.It was understood that the theocratic character of the Pakistan military officials towards peaceful protesters is not a new thing for the peoples ofPOK those are believed in United Secular and Independent Kashmir.
Crackdown on fundamental human rights like freedom of protest ,freedom of speech and restrictions on freedom of movement and extra judicial killings are common things for the hostile Pakistani army.
Eight leader's were arrested by police ,two FIR`s lodged against the eighteen active leaders of JKNAP JKNSF and against the hundred unnamed activists, one FIR lodged on behalf of the Pakistan army`s official and second on the report of local police.These incidents clearly indicates that army won`t have any trust on local administration and authorities ofPOK.
Couple of month's ago the arrest of JKNAP president Liquat Hayyat and other leaders of JKNSF,when he sent behind the bars for more then forty (40) days without any sufficient judicial process.
Recent crackdown and arrests on 24th October in Mazafarbad on peaceful siege of puppet assembly of POK are,a clear breach of fundamental human rights and peaceful assembly.

The leadership of JKNAP JKNSF urged all like minded groups to support our peaceful and democratic struggle against Pakistani hostile army which is a occupied army in POK.
JKNAP announced a peaceful call of BLACK DAY protest on Monday 26th October 2009 in all POK District Headquarters and seeking full support of all pro-people democratic, nationalist and like minded forces across POK.
The JKNAP will continue its struggle for the fundamental rights of the occupied people of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir POK (POAK,POGB) until withdrawal of a single hostile army personnel.

JKNAP & JKNSF – WORKERS CLASHED WITH PAKISTAN ARMY AND ARRESTED
Workers of JKNAP and JKNSF from all over POAK gathered in Muzaffarabad on the call of their leaders to lay a siege to the Legislative Assembly of POAK in Muzaffarabad.
JKNAP central president Sardar Liaqat Hayat Khan and JKNSF central president Raja Saba Hussain addressed the workers before the procession set off from Gul Nawaz Butt Memorial for the Legislative Assembly. Sardar Liaqat Hayat Khan and Raja Saba Hussain declared the procession and siege programme as a peaceful activity and announced that we only wish to record our protest against the unconstitutional and colonial Gilgit-Baltistan Package and want to protest peacefully against the suppression of Kashmiri masses by the occupant forces.
Thousands of JKNAP and JKNSF workers took part in the procession. The procession peacefully headed towards the Legislative Assembly but when the marchers arrived by Old Civil Secretariat Pakistan Army clashed with the demonstrators and injured tens of JKNAP and JKNSF peaceful workers.
Army also arrested Kamran Baig, Talah and Aaqib from the scene of the clash. Police baton charged the peaceful protesters and shelled huge quantity of tear gas to disperse the march. All roads leading to the Legislative Assembly were blocked.
Police is now searching for the leaders of JKNAP and JKNSF. The whole city of Muzaffarabad is deserted and police is after the protesters as this news is being filed.

Leaders of JKNAP (UK) said that peaceful political agitation is one of the basic human rights and Pakistan Army is now given orders to seize all basic human rights from poor Kashmiri people.
JKNAP (UK) leaders warned that if all arrested workers are not released immediately, then Kashmiries will lay down siege to Pakistani High Commission in London.
JKNAP (UK) leaders urged UNO, Amnesty International, European Union and all peace loving democratic countries of the world to press Pakistani and POAK authorities to immediately release the arrested workers of JKNAP and JKNSF.

Farooq Haider took oath as third PM of POK in 2 years.
Raja Farooq Haider took oath as third prime minister of POK in two years. Ruling Muslim conference traditional right wing upper class pro Pakistani state party has been facing so deep crisis ruling this area of Kashmir. It has great difficulty of making happy its own corrupt elites members of the party and Pakistan Govt, its state secret agencies, bureaucrats and so on. This area of Kashmir has so many rulers, only elected POK Govt has no saying running state affairs nor it has any control over the area, real ruler is Pak army officers, its state secret service agents exercise more power than any POK Govt official. MC has replaced its house leader third time in 2 years in office, it shows the real trouble ruling elites have been facing in the area of 4 million population of this divided part of Kashmir. Since Pakistani state has been occupying this part of Kashmir, POK elites have give up every thing to their masters sitting in Islamabad to show their loyalty regardless of their party affiliations. Traditionally, Pakistani Govt used to change POK Govts according to their wishes and likeness and dis likeness. Since Pakistani state has been fighting for its own survival and terrorists have already made Pakistani state almost ungovernable, POK traditional ruling class is also struggling to gain some power over their area. POK elites have been just symbolic rulers in the area without any power, as one of the former PMs have said that they have no authority to even transfer deputy commissioner. This situation has made POK elites to fight back Pakistani state authorities who almost made them irrelevant running POK affairs.
MC had replaced Sardar Attique earlier with Sardar Yaqoob and after 8 months Yaqoob was replaced by Raja Farooq Haider. It is very interesting to see that this time PM has full support from federal PPP Govt and that backing could not saved him from his own party. It is true that Sardar Yaqoob was trapped by PPP members and was told that as long as he has backing from federal Govt he would not lose but that did not happened first time and we must analyze it carefully. Sardar Yaqoob was not traditionally belong to a political family background nor he seems like trained politician, so he could not face the trouble and forced to resigned. Sardar Attique a son of sardar Qayuum Khan, one of the most subordinate, loyal politicians to Pakistani state,s military and civilian establishment and one of the prominent Jihadis of 1947, he is the one who had driven out all POK non Muslim population from the area with the help and directions of Britishers and Pakistani state. He used to be the all weather friend of Pakistani state but his son was not trusted by his old masters in Islamabad and ousted through in house change when Islamabad got new PPP Govt in place. Raja Farooq Haider also a son of prominent MC leader Raja Haider Khan from Chakar District Muzaffrabad. Raja Haider was also member of Maharaja,s assembly and later he supported the efforts made by Maharaja Kashmir to have an Independent state of Jammu Kashmir.
Raja Farooq Haider must regards his father,s legacy and we must expect that he will stand up against Pakistani interference in state affairs as he warned Pakistani state actors that they should not be unnecessary create mess in POK. It was also interesting to see that this MC has struggled against PPP Govt in Islamabad and did try to defend the identity of Kashmir. God only knows their intentions but we have to push them further to make them defend little more local peoples rights, as they claim that they represent people of this area. Raja Farooq was neither the favorite of Attique and co nor PPP federal Govt,s choice because of his blatant remarks about Pakistani role in POCK and also against POCK top judge. His father Rajah Hider Khan was also had a fight with Pakistani dictator Aube Khan because of his campaign for an Independent Kashmir as he formed an Independent Kashmir committee with the help of his colleagues, as a result he was replaced from MC president ship. I am sure Raja Muzaffar Sahib one of the prominent Kashmiri nationalist leaders from POK and also Raja Farooq,s cousin will confirm above mentioned facts, if I am not wrong. There is no doubt that our elites are trying to be more Pakistanis than even Pakistanis themselves but Farooq Haider must up hold his own convictions and even desires he expressed in his public statements during this entire campaign of his prime minister ship and campaign against his party,s corrupt PM Sardar Attique khan, as he did not like by both son and father, he must maintain his principle stand against MC,s corrupt leadership. We demand the following from newly elected PM Raja Farooq Haider:
1- Immediately denounce and deflect from the annexation of Gilgit Baltistan area of northern Kashmir.
2- Immediately announce the confederation of POK and OGB.
3- Immediately move a resolution against this so called Gilgit Baltistan package in POK Assembly.
4- Immediately call all parties conference in Muzaffrabad to create consensus for the restoration of 4 Oct,'' republic of Kashmir,, which was the once real representative Govt of Kashmiri people after popular rebellion overthrown Maharaja Kashmir Govt in 1947.
5- Immediately remove all Pakistani lent officers from POK soil and replace them with local citizens.
6- Immediately passed a resolution from POK Assembly to end all colonial institutions imposed by Pakistani state, such as Ministry of Kashmir affairs, Kashmir Council, as if it were not a part of Pakistan.
7- Immediately remove all discriminatory clauses of act 74, such as barring pro independence parties from elections.

JKNAP & JKNSF - ALL SET FOR THE SEIGE OF LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY IN POAK 0N 24 OCTOBER 2009
JKNAP and JKNSF have jointly given a call for the siege of the Legislative Assembly of POAK (Pakistani Occupied Azad Kashmir) on 24 October 2009.
Workers of JKNAP and JKNSF have set up reception camps in all major towns of POAK and people in a very big number visit these camps every day.
In the camps, workers of JKNAP and JKNSF give briefings to the visitors. People are given full historical analysis of the events which were unfolded in October 1947.
24 October is a day when in 1947, Pakistan having entered her armed forces in the liberated territories of the State of Jammu Kashmir, toppled the "Government of the Republic of Kashmir" on the gunpoint and installed her own puppet government.
Freedom fighters who were busy fighting forces of Maharajah were not much organised and almost all government departments of "The Republic of Kashmir" were being run on a voluntary basis by the leadership of "The Republic of Kashmir" from the day of its inception on 04 October 1947.
"The Republic of Kashmir" was not in a position to face and defeat invading regular armed forces of Pakistan and this fact was well known to Pakistan. Thus Pakistan captured the headquarters of "The Republic of Kashmir" in Janjaal Hill and announced the formation of the "Free Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir" in Muzaffarabad.
The fate of the leaders of the "Government of Republic of Kashmir" is not known and it will probably remain a mystery for ever. They all went missing after the invasion of Pakistani armed forces. Pakistan instead announced the formation of the "Free Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir". It is believed that all the leaders of "The Republic of Kashmir" were martyred by Pakistani armed forces.
Pakistan then immediately recognised the "Free Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir" who were then forced to honour and acknowledge the invasion of Pakistani armed forces. Those were the times when modern day communication and transportation facilities were not available and the road and transport infrastructure in Kashmir was very poor. There was no electricity and telephone facility, thus by the time freedom fighters could realise what was being done by Pakistan it was already too late.
Pakistan had practically captured all liberated territories of Kashmir and had strengthened her strategic position in Kashmir. The exercise which began on 24 October 1947 was completed within a couple of weeks.
Kashmir had once again fallen to the invading army. A newly born country who took birth in the name of religion, had even prepared a colony in the name of religion. The big brother had captured everything and had declared all its acts as legitimate.
In the reception camps set up for the preparation of the siege of the legislative assembly of POAK, workers of JKNAP and JKNSF inform people how Pakistan invaded Kashmir, toppled the representative "Government of the Republic of Kashmir" and installed a dummy administration in Muzaffarabad called "Free Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir".
Thus JKNAP and JKNSF believe that, 24 October is the day when the most recent occupation of Kashmir began. It is not the Foundation Day of the "Free Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir"; it is rather the Day of Foreign Occupation. This is the day when misery, exploitation, abuse, deprivation and prowling of Kashmiri nation began, which continues till these days.
That is the background of the day (24 October) which will be highlighted during the siege of the legislative assembly of POAK.
JKNAP and JKNSF will also condemn the POGB (Pakistani Occupied Gilgit – Baltistan) package and declare it as a conspiracy for the division of Kashmir which deceitfully and dishonestly has been agreed upon by both occupants of our motherland, i.e. India and Pakistan.
JKNAP and JKNSF urge all those who consider themselves as true Kashmiries to join this programme of siege and support the national cause of Kashmir.
JKNAP and JKNSF also demand that newly elected prime minister of POAK declare the "Free Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir" a really free government.
We stipulate that the prime minister must immediately reject the POGB package, as he has been doing while he was not prime minister, and ask Pakistani authorities to immediately halt their all actions in POGB.
JKNAP and JKNSF require the so called "Free Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir" to order all lent officers to quit, all foreign armed forces to leave and require all peace loving countries to recognise the "Free Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir" as a legitimate representative administration of the liberated territories of Kashmir.

JKNAP and JKNSF wonder how such shabby and scruffy people can lead the nation. The people who change their viewpoint, principles, beliefs, philosophy and ideology even more often than their dirty pants!
JKNAP and JKNSF urge all the so called leaders to have a mercy on the torn apart nation and stop conspiring with the occupant forces. If they do not change their approach, their destiny will be even worse than Shah Iran.
