Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party ( JK NAP) and JK NSF observed Arshid Billu Shaheed day yesterday in his local city Chackswari District Mirpure Azad Kashmir (POK). JK NAP and JK NSF leaders, activists and members came from all over POK cities and towns and gathered in Chackswari. Next day JK NAP JK NSF took out a huge rally in the city. This huge public rally turned in to a huge public gathering at the end. This public meeting was presided over by JK NSF central president Raja Sabah Hussain and chief Guest was JK NAP central president Liaqat Hayyat. There was large presence of former JK NSF Students leaders in the city. Arshid Billu was a young leader of JK NSF and murdered by state police. He was one of the brave heroes of JK NSF history of sacrifices in POK. Members of his students league came from all over POK to remember his great sacrifice for his beautiful home land. JK NSF is the prominent youth organization of this region of Kashmir which has written the history of this part with the blood of its youth. It is the only organization which has given the lives of its prominent leaders including one of its central general secretaries Fahim Akram, who was murdered by Muslim conference Govt agents in Bagh city.

Arshid Billu,s death is our nation,s life said one of the former JK NSF leaders Chaudry Nusherwaan who was one of organizers of the rally. Arshid Billi,s death has given the hope to our youth, so that they have been continuing this national liberation struggle since 4 decades said Lala Sulfa former chief organizer of JK NSF and we will continue this liberation movement until its logical end. JK N AP is transformation of JK NSF struggle which has been turning it in to a popular mass movement said JK NAP president Liaqat Hayyat. JK NSF has been a great defender of POK people and their national rights. It is has been playing an anti imperialist role in the region of Kashmir and struggling hard to complete its revolutionary mission and helping Kashmiri people to get rid of all forms of exploitations said JK NSF President Raja Sabah Hussain. Besides them Ajaz Nazir advocate former JK NAP Secretary general, Anwaar Baig former JK NSF leader and many others also have spoken at this historical occasion.

JK NAP, JK NSF battle with state forces in POK capital city.

Muzaffrabad city turned out be battle field on Sunday oct 24, 2009, when JK NAP and JK NSF activists started march towards legislative Assembly building to siege it for a day long sit in. Tens of workers has been arrested and hundred of the have been injured, some them are seriously wounded including former secretary general of JK NAP Ajaz Nazir Advocate, some of the comrades have broken arms and heads during baton charges by police. It was state brutality once again shown to our comrades and rein of terror unleashed by local administration with the dictation of ISI and army officers which have been so hostile towards JK NAP activities and trying to suppress this revolutionary movement because of huge local youth,s involvement in it. International Council JK NAP condemns this state brutalities against our peaceful comrades, who are simply raising their voices against re division of Kashmir state which is not acceptable to any Kashmiri living any where in the world. Police actions, imprisonments area not acceptable to us and it will turn ugly if local administration would not follow the rules of the game, if not behave like normal lawinforcers, if not separated their actions from army involvement it would be hostile land to every one who wants to keep occupiers happy, even though, it is not the duty of local police nor it is the duty of local Govt, they must correct their actions other wise they will be responsible for law and order situation and army is trying create Baluchistan type of situation which they might not afford it here.


Local administration first let JK NAP huge rally to go ahead but after watching the huge gathering they changed their mind and told JK NAP , JK NSF leadership you got to change the route of this procession and go through vehicles but they refused to do that, AC city again agreed upon and let them go, on the way suddenly he ordered the police stop the JK NAP procession. When police without warning started teargassing the protesters JK NSF and JK NAP youth tuned violent and started fighting back. It was completely peaceful march and led by JK NAP central president Sardar Liaqat Hayyat, secretary general Abdul Sattar Advocate, JK NSF central president Raja Sabah and most of the party leaders were present there, it was impossible to have any kind of violence among JK NAP and JK NSF activists. It is very unfortunate that when army vehicle interfered with procession, they made police to attack the youth. Why this army vehicle carrying a major ranking officer were monitoring the procession, is it the army,s job or they intentionally tried to intimidate with JK NAP ,JK NSF procession and why they picked up the fight with JK NAP youth without any provocation. It is very unfortunate that army intelligence officers, state secret agencies are trying to pick street fights with political activists in this unfortunate area of Kashmir where people have no rights at all. JK NAP has no intentions to have create any violence in the area which has been ruled by Pakistani state secret agencies and its military officers. Even military involvement in the state affairs have been objected by local pro Pakistan politicians including newly elected PM of the region Raja Farooq Haider.

Now it is time for local Govt to act accordingly and do not play a role of simple spectator as it has been since 6 decades. We want them to let every body know that local voices can not be suppressed any more and they need to be heard. It has to be understood by local politicians who have been behaving like puppets of lower ranking army officers stationed in POK area and army officers have total grip over the local political and administrative affairs, it is shameful to these so called puppet politicians, they must respect their voters, instead of representing their aspirations, these elected politicians have been acting on behalf of lower ranking army officers and blackmailed by ISI and other state secret agencies. JK NAP and JK NSF would not accept this state of affairs no matter what and we refused to accept the rule of few army thugs who are behaving their own. JK NAP condemns army activities in POK areas which have been always above the law and it must stop now. We do demand the following:
1- Immediately release of JK NAP and JK NSF workers, activists and leaders.
2- Local state administration immediately investigates its civilian employees having secret links with military officers and why they obey their orders, must be exposed as soon as possible.
3- our wounded workers must be treated in local hospitals as we know that previously army had refused to provide them even ambulances to JK NAP dead comrades during long march to Gitgit.
4- AJK Prime minister must take this issue in his hand to inquire why this incident occurred few blocks away from his presence, who ordered the police attack on JK NAP workers and leaders.
5- We must know that why JK NAP was not allowed not take out peaceful procession and peaceful siege of Assembly.
6- We demand freedom of speech, freedom of Assembly, freedom of protest, freedom of movement.
7- We demand withdrawal of Gilgit Baltistan package immediately.
8- Bogus FIRS must be immediately withdrawn against JK NAP and JK NSF leaders and PM must look in to this matter, when he allowed JK NAP procession to go through the route agreed upon once, who ordered to create this unfortunate but brutal conditions for procession.
9- We demand immediate inquiry of police brutality against JK NAP+JK NSF workers.

مظفر آباد (سٹاف رپورٹر) یوم شہدائے زلزلہ آٹھ اکتوبر کے موقع پر قوم پرست جماعت این ایس ایف کے کارکنوں نے اپر اڈہ میں احتجاجی مظاہرہ کیا مظاہرہ کے دوران متازعہ نعرہ بازی کرنے پر پولیس نے متعدد کارکنوں کو گرفتار کرلیا، تفصیلات کے مطابق این ایس ایف کے متعد دکارکنوں نے وزیراعظم پاکستان کی آمد پر گلگت بلتستان کے حوالہ سے شدید نعرہ بازی کی جبکہ معلوم ہوا ہے کہ چند نوجوانوں نے صدر آصف علی زرداری کے خلاف بھی نعرہ بازی کی جبکہ معلوم ہوا ہے کہ چند نوجوانوں نے صدر آصف علی زرداری کیخلاف نعرہ بازی کی ، پولیس نے صورتحال کو کنٹرول کرنے کیلئے فوری طور پر موقع پرموجود ندیم احمد، سمیع اللہ، محمد ابرار ، حمزہ عارف رفیق مظہر، راجہ ذکیر و دیگر کو گرفتار کرکے تھانہ صدر مظفرآباد میں بند کردیا اور ان کے خلاف مقدمہ درج کرکے تفتیش شروع کردی۔

Harassing over to the leaders and workers of JKNAP+JKNSF

Various reports confirm that the the ISI,POK police and authorities of Got. of POK are harassing over to the leaders and workers of JKNAP+JKNSF.A couple of days ago some agency personals threaten to the president of JKNSF Raja Sabah and other lead rs of JKNAP NSF to denounce the call of long march.
We warn the POK Gov.if more violations are took in POK it will return with serious consequences and responsible are the ISI and POK Govt.

PROTEST FOR RELEASE OF LIQUAT HAYYAT PRSIDENT JKNAP AND OTHERS

KASHMIR: Basic human rights denied; freedom of expression, freedom of peaceful assembly; arbitrary arrest and detention:



Sardar Liaquat Hayat (Central President of Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party) and other political activists were arrested without any judicial warrants in Pakistani Occupied Kashmir, which is serious violation of basic human and political rights.

DETAILS AND FACTS OF THE CASE:

Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party (JKNAP) and Jammu Kashmir National Students Federation (JKNSF) organized protest marches and public meetings all over Pakistani Occupied Kashmir on 19th of July 2009 to condemn the so called resolution of Kashmir’s accession with Pakistan adopted by the ruling party of POK (Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference). Both JKNAP and JKNSF are democratic, secular, progressive and non violent political organizations of the State of Jammu Kashmir, advocating the reunification of all the divided parts of Jammu Kashmir and its complete independence through political and non violent means and institute a system of governance based on secular democracy, equality, rule of law and social justice.

On July 19th 2009, POK Police raided in Rawalakote city and arrested Liaquat Hayat (central president of JKNAP), Wajid Ayyub and Shaihid Sharaf without arrest warrants. The same day ruling party of POK organized a public rally to commend the so called Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan at Rawalakote city, JKNAP and JKNSF took out protest rallies all over POK in favor of a secular, independent and democratic Kashmir. In order to suppress the pro-people, pro-democracy, pro-independence, anti-theocracy and anti-militancy ideology Pakistani secret agencies, civil and military bureaucracy of Islamabad delivered the secret orders to POK administration (in practice headed by two lent officers from Islamabad, the chief secretary and the inspector general of police). POK administration has lodged FIR’s against more than hundred activists of JKNAP and JKNSF and police is creating an atmosphere of harassment for the families and friends of the activists of JKNAP and JKNSF.

In another incident agents of secret services abducted and humiliated four Kashmiri students in Rawalpindi for being the activists of JKNSF and advocating liberation of Kashmir from both Pakistan and India. Leaders of JKNAP and JKNSF have been harassed, tortured and detained in the past as well for demanding basic human rights in the parts of Kashmir under Pakistani occupation.

International Council Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party (ICJKNAP) stresses that the use of such violence must come to an end immediately. The people of Kashmir have a legitimate right to protest peacefully. Denying the people of this right is a serious violation of their basic human rights and contravenes the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR 1948), International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR 1966) as Pakistan is a signatory of both the covenants as a member nation state.

SUGGESTED ACTION:

ICJKNAP urges Amnesty International, United Nations, Human Rights Watch, OMCT, Asian Human rights Commission and other International and regional human rights group to take the above mentioned narration serious and intervene the situation in POK immediately. We demand immediate release of Sardar Liaquat Hayat and other comrades; otherwise we reserve the right to peaceful protest in front of Pakistani embassies and consulates all over the world.

JAMMU KASHMIR NATIONAL STUDENTS FEDERATION CONTINUED TO PROTEST AGAINST THE IMPRISSONED COMRADES OF JKNSF AN JKNAP



Jammu Kashmir National Students Federation and Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party continued its protest against Illegal arrest of JKNAP and JKNSF comrades in POK. According to our spokesmen of JKNAP and JKNSF a rally was organized by JKNAP and JKNSF members in Dadyal today after the dark. The participants were carrying red flags and torches at night and were raising slogans against Pakistani imperialism and the corrupt government of POK. After the rally of protest a huge crowed gathered in the central city, the leaders of JKNAP and JKNSF delivered some speeches against the arrest of JKNSF and JKNAP comrades. The leaders said that this is the brutality of puppet Government of POK which follows the orders of Pakistani Rulers. If they didn’t release the party members JKNSF and JKNAP will continue to protest against the Govt. They said that they will participate in the “No,to accession with Pakistan long March” on 06th of August. Before that long march they will continue to protest for the release of their arrested workers.

International Council JKNAP condemns Harassing its students leaders.

Three JK NSF leaders from Rawalpindi branch Fawad,Adnan and Aziz were picked up by Pakistani state secret agencies while attending an organizational meeting in the city. They picked up by night time and released morning time, after severely beaten them up, humiliating them, abusing Kashmiri nation, insulting them as pro independence Kashmiri students activists and belong to JK NSF. ISI agents have been practicing this harassment policy against JK NSF and JK NAP since long time. JK NSF lost so many of its activists including one of its top ranking student leader and General secretary Sardar Faheem Akram, he was murdered by local Govt agents with the help of ISI. It is unfortunate that ISI has not changed its brutal policy against JK NAP and JK NSF activists and leaders. International Council JK NAP members and its office bearers have taken this harassing policy very serious matter and we are really concern about the lives of our Students and JK NAP activists living and studying in Pakistani cities, where most of these events have been occurring. We IC JK NAP members condemn these fascist tactics against our students activists and think that ISI can not intimidate JK NAP and JK NSF nor can break their will and commitment to the cause of united Independent secular Kashmir. IC JK NAP members warn Pakistani state agencies that do not mess with us, it will cost you more than your imaginations. It is JK NAP leadership who is keeping its students activists and JK NAP cadres peaceful and any attempt to put our youth on violent path would be disastrous consequences for Pakistani state. IC JK NAP refuses to accept this kind of fascist means nor any one in any where in civilize world would accept it. International Council JK NAP would expose ISI strategy of harassing and intimidating JK NAP and JK NSF activists and we would go to its last end.

But practically POK area has been ruled by IG police and chief secretary both of them always from Pakistan non is POK citizens. JK NAP will never compromise on Kashmiri national question as long as Kashmir is occupied by two countries India and Pakistan.

JK NAP new body held its first meeting.

Jammu Kashmir National Awami party ( JK NAP) held its new elected body,s meeting in Rawalpindi. Meeting was president over by its central president Liaqat Hayyat. Party new elected leadership deliberated on party affairs, prevailing political situation in POK and discussed how party will be preparing itself to handle the changing pollitical situation in south Asian region. JK NAP central body made the following decisions.

1- JK NAP district bodies conventions must be held before the month of september 2009.

2-Didtrict Poonch will hold its convention on July 13th, 2009.

3- International council JK NAP will complete its units as soon as possible and will hold its convention to form its next body.

4- Three members finance committee has been formed..

5- JK NAP new central cabinet has approved separation from APNA, unanimously, which was decided by previous cabinet with consensus.

6- Party has decided to expand its discussion how to go in to POK election process.

7- Dharna on LOC will be further debated and grand meeting will be held on these two issues, election and Dharna.

8- Party will begin its membership campaign all over POK from next week.

9- JK NAP nominated four National Council members, Raja Mahmood, Bashir Qurashi, Arshid Malik and Javed Shariff.

JK NAP discussed prevailing political situation in POK and shown great concern that Pakistan is preparing itself to use section 56 to dismiss POK Govt and JK NAP would resist it, therefore, it has happened so many times and we did resist it and will do it again. JK NAP wants Pakistani state to respect our right of vote, no one except POK voters should have been allowed to remove our elected Govts. It is unfortunate that our POK Govts always try to make Islamabad,s rulers happy, they have never cared about their voters demands. Islamabad controls this region with its strong military means and unelected civilian institutions. JK NAP has never been accepted these undemocratic institutions nor draconian laws imposed by Pakisttani state against the will of our people. JK NAP new leadership vowed to fight out all these injustices and will be struggling to bring about the positive changes and will establish fair democratic and transparent system for every one.
