IC JK NAP leaders have condemned the state brutalities in Mirpur and Rawalakot city (POK)
International Council Jammu Kashmir National Awami party ( IC JK NAP) leaders have condemned the state brutalities in Mirpur and Rawalakot city. Local people have been demanding electricity shortage and protested against WAPDA authorities. It is highly condemnable act that Pakistani state has been looting POK resources since its occupation but when our people have demanded nothing but only no load shedding and they met police brutality. It is only place where under Pakistani occupation where little demands of even electricity has been considered sin. We have seen people have been doing the same thing all over Pakistani cities but they have no problems at they can go violent but our peaceful citizen have been brutalized by state police to please Pakistani state authorities. Kashmiris under Pakistani occupation have lost every thing even right of protest against injustices too.
IC JK NAP demanding that POK Govt immediately take over the Mangla dam and declares it state property without wasting any time. Mangla was constructed in our ancestral graves, old Mirpur city was completely drown in to dam water, neither people have been compensated yet after 42 years nor provided any electricity to our POK cities and towns from this dam. POK Govt must announce immediately Mangla dam as its state property and providing electricity to POK region extra electricity can sell to Punjab Govt on market rates. As we all know that Maharaja Hari Singh used to get money from Punjab Govt from rivers and other natural resources and British Govt used to pay for water. POK Govt must immediately take one more step, Make Pakistani Givt to pay its previous balances from Mangla dam since 42 years in full amount according to its own market rates which WAPDA(Water and Power Development Authority Pakistan)
has been charging from our people. Mangla dam is our state property no matter what Pakistani state says. We need our money after construction expenses of the dam, other remaining balance must be immediately paid. If POK Govt is unable to demand all this then immediately step down. As long as we do not have our representative Govt in POK we must demand that first we need our real Govt which can be elected by local people not Islamabad. Islamabad has has been imposed over us a colonial administration and people do not accept it because this POK Govt has been badly failed to even protect our peaceful citizen. Pakistani state secret agencies do not even trust our police and local authorities at all that is why in Mirpur they called in Punjab constabulary. What happened in Rawalakot city is only an act of pleasing Pakistani authorities. We demand that all those involved in brutalities must be immediately suspended and investigation must hold by local High court judge. We demand POK Govt must take up necessary steps to resolve this electricity issue with local people.

JKNIA Letter to British House of Commons/Lords and MEP`S.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Re:
The issue of an occupation of Jammu Kashmir, violation of Human rights, and the threat to the regional peace in South East Asia in the future.
I am writing to you on behalf of Jammu Kashmir National Independence Alliance(JKNIA) which is an alliance of Kashmiri political organisations in the UK working for the peaceful settlement of the Kashmir issue to achieve a united, independent,secular and democratic Jammu Kashmir for all the people of Jammu Kashmir.
You may already be aware of the occupation of Kashmir issue. This directly affects approximately 700,000 people of Kashmiri origin who are citizens of UK and would like to see a resolution of the long standing Kashmir issue.There are currently over half a million Indian forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir and there is constant violation of human rights including torture, abductions, rape of women, murder of innocent Kashmiri men, women and children.
The so called government institutions in both the Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK) and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) are serving the political interests of their respective masters in India and Pakistan, without regard to the views of the ordinary citizens of Jammu Kashmir. [For example Pakistan Government has recently annexed Gilgit Baltistan (as a de-facto Pakistani province) which is historically an integral part of Jammu Kashmir.] As a consequence there is a deprivation in infrastructure and a huge lack of resources for health facilities, education and employment for the people of Jammu Kashmir which affects them deeply and causes suffering on a daily basis.
Without going into the detail or history of the issue (which some of you will be fully aware of) we are writing to you at this important point in time before the General Election in 2010. At this important time the UK citizens of Jammu Kashmir origin will participate in the elections and may be able to influence the outcome of elections in some constituencies throughout the UK. We should be obliged if you would address the following points in particular:
As an individual candidate please clarify your position on the resolution of the Kashmir issue leading to the creation of a unified, independent and democratic Jammu and Kashmir.
The position of your Political Party in this respect
How you and your party in your respective roles regardless of whether or not you win would help the Kashmiris in the UK and JKNIA in particular to advance the core cause for resolution of this very important issue.
No doubt you will be aware that until and unless this issue is resolved there is a grave danger to peace in this region and to the World at large. As both nuclear powers India and Pakistan continue to regard this as a territorial dispute for their own interests and ignore the views of the people of Jammu Kashmir. Kindly acknowledge safe receipt of this letter a timely response to this letter will be appreciated. We trust this clarifies this matter if however you have any further queries or questions on this important issue please do not hesitate to contact us.

وٹفورڈ( پ ر) میرپور میں واپڈا کے ظلم اور بجلی کی لوڈشیڈنگ کے خلاف مظاہرین پر تشدد اور گرفتاریوں کیخلاف برطانوی کشمیری قوم پرستوں کا شدید احتجاج' کشمیر نیشنل پارٹی کے سربراہ عباس بٹ، سفارتی شعبہ کے ترجمان ڈاکٹر شبیر چوہدری، برطانوی زون کے چیف آرگنائزر عاصم مرزا، زونل جنرل سیکرٹری شیخ نواز، نیپ کے مرکزی رہنما ندیم اسلم ایڈووکیٹ، این ایس ایف کے سابق مرکزی چیف آرگنائزر آصف مسعود چوہدری، نیشنل لبریشن فرنٹ کے محمود کشمیری، لبریشن فرنٹ کے سابق مرکزی رہنما مرزا اسلم، جموں و کشمیر محاذ رائے شماری بطانیہ کے صدر صدیق مرزا و دیگر نے پولیس کی طرف سے پرامن مظاہرین پر تشدد کر کے ثابت کر دیا کہ اگر کوئی اپنا حق مانگے گا تو اس کے ساتھ وہی حشر ہوگا جو مقبوضہ کشمیر میں بھارتی فوج کشمیریوں کے حق آزادی مانگنے پر کرتی ہے۔ قوم پرست رہنمائوں نے شدید الفاظ میں اس تشدد کی مذمت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ہم ہر تشدد برداشت کرنے کیلئے تیار ہیں مگر اپنے حق سے کسی صورت دستبردار نہیں ہونگے۔ رہنمائوں نے کہا کہ میرپور کے غیور عوام نے یہ ثابت کیا ہے کہ جب بھی ان کے حقوق کا استحصال ہوگا جب بھی ان کی غیرت کا للکارا جائے گا وہ سیسہ پلائی دیوار بن جائیں گے۔ غیر ریاستی لوگوں کی آشیرباد ہر ریاستی عوام پر لاٹھیاں برسنا انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزی ہے۔ واپڈا ہمارے صبر کا امتحان نہ لے ورنہ برطانوی کشمیر بھی اپنے وطن میں آکر دما دم مست قلندر کریں گے۔ میرپور کے عوام نے اپنے آبائو اجداد کی قبریں پانی میں ڈبو کر ڈیم تعمیر کیا تھا تاکہ ہمیں بجلی مل سکے مگر ہمارے ساتھ مقبوضہ کشمیر سے بھی برا سلوک کیا جارہا ہے۔ آج مقبوضہ کشمیرمیں آزاد کشمیر کی نسبت بجلی سستی اور وافر مقدار میں موجود ہے۔ رہنمائوں نے کہا کہ جاگ میرپوری جاگ تحریک جاگ کشمیری جاگ تحریک ثابت ہو گی کیونکہ بجلی کا مسئلہ بھمبر سے لیکر نیلم تک ہے۔ ہم مرنے کیلئے تیار ہیں مگر حق لے کر رہیں گے۔ آزاد کشمیر میںموجود غیر ملکی ہمارے اوپر طاقت کا استعمال کر کے دیکھ لیں ہم ہر جبر کیلئے تیار ہیں۔

Meeting of JKNIA UK on Sunday 21st March 2010 in Bradford UK
Jammu Kashmir National Independence Alliance UK (JK NIA UK) will be holding an important meeting on Sunday 21st March 2010 in Bradford UK.
All the constituent parties confirm their participation in this very important meeting. JK NIA UK are adopting a comprehensive strategy for the upcoming UK general elections. JK NIA proposes to support those candidates who are raising their voices for the right of self determination for the people of Jammu Kashmir and oppose the proxy policies of Indian and Pakistani state. Pakistani and Indian occupation has destroyed, Kashmiri identity , culture , history, geography, wealth and its natural resources.
JK NIA UK will stand with the pro-people democratic stance on Kashmir and work for an Independent , United, Secular Kashmir which will work for peace and security of the region in South East Asia.
The president of JK NIA UK Mahmood Kashmiri has said that we need to secure a broader support within British Kashmiri Diaspora and all British parties in general on political and diplomatic front.This is because British Parliament and European Parliament have a vital and important role in the future of an independent Kashmir. JK NIA UK are seeking their diplomatic support for the liberation of Jammu Kashmir. A detailed statement will be issued after the meeting.
